MITTRIKA (SHOMAJ UNNAYAN MULAK PROTISTAN) is a national NGO vide NGOAB registration nr. 3267 dated 07/03/2021, Government of Bangladesh. It is also, registered under the Ministry of Social Welfare vide registration nr.Sat-1233/2015 dated 20 September 2015, Government of Bangladesh. It is a non-profit, non-political, private development and humanitarian organization working for the poor and vulnerable community through effective communication/coordination and networking at different levels. The organization is itself a role model- meaning that represents socio­economic development of the poor needy, helpless and underprivileged people in the community. Since inception in 2012 MITTRIKA started its activities and has been relentlessly working for socio-economic development of the poor community and sensitizing social awareness. The initial focus activities of the organization were to protect early child marriage, child protection, environment, advocacy, awareness, homestead gardening, humanitarian program management, networking/costal disaster humaniteriarian network for advocacy/awareness through 07 network member organizations.

Advocacy and awareness work of MITTRIKA entailed to control traffic jam at different over crowded/accident prone area through formation of committee and distributed IEC materials such as leaf let, banner, festoon, community consultation, meeting with journalists, drivers (motor bike, tempo, easy bike, private car, microbus, minim bus, track/lorry, bus driver) at different levels in banks, hospital, educational institution, BGB Camp, District Level police/traffic Offices, fire service, Palli Biddut and garments/textile industries etc.

Gradually MITTRIKA is expanding its activities in different areas of greater Satkhira and people are getting the opportunity to explore their innate potential for multicultural social activities. As of March 2021 MITTRIKA has got NGOAB registration from Government of Bangladesh, recognized as National NGO and eligible to work anywhere in Bangladesh. The organization cares for articulation, positive changes and become role model. It was established with a view to improve socio­economic status, advocacy awareness, capacity building, livelihood, health & nutrition, maternal & child health, education and providing humanitarian support at any emergency/crisis situation of the vulnerable, disadvantaged and destitute people in the community. From the very beginning, MITTRIKA has gained achievement through mobilization of multi-sectoral issues & resources and implementation of various projects/program supported by multifarious donors and governments of Bangladesh with a view to ensure the positive change of socio-economic condition for the marginalized and underprivileged community having ong-term mission in line with Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) through implementation of innovative, sustainable development, development and humanitarian projects/ Programms in Bangladesh. Gradually MITTRIKA is expanding its activities in different areas of greater Satkhira as well as in Bangladesh and people are getting the opportunity to explore their innate potential for multicultural social activities. The organization wants to be a role model that will ensure socio- economic progress through humanitarian and development activities of the poor needy, helpless and underprivileged people in the community. MITTRIKA cares for articulation and positive changes.
